Trees NC Receives Strong Support

The Park Foundation and Resourceful Communities, a program of the Conservation Fund both recently announced funding of Trees NC grant proposals for the 2013 year.

"We are thrilled to have the support of two of the most respected foundations in the country," said Owen George, President of Trees NC.

Trees NC grant support from Resourceful Communities will be dedicated to the continued development of programs and services for minority and at risk youth, with a targeted focus on providing program participants the opportunity to learn about careers in the green marketplace.

Support from The Park Foundation will provide vital staff support  that allows Trees NC to respond to the growing demand for services, while building the capacity for long term sustainability.

said George.
