Collaboration for Greater Good

Over the years, TreesNC has been fortunate to collaborate with North Carolina Cooperative Extension - the outreach arm of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University and the School of Agriculture at North Carolina A&T State University.

We are particularly fortunate to welcome to our team Ben Grandon, Extension Agent for Agriculture and Horticulture for Randolph County.

Ben has agreed to support our work for the creation East Side Grove  - a grove of fruit and nut bearing trees for Asheboro's East Side Neighborhood.   Ben and TreesNC president Owen George walked the grove site this week and mapped planting locations for apple, pear, fig and persimmon trees.

Ben's extensive background as a horticulturalist is playing an important role in this exciting project!
