Volunteers Take the Lead for Trees NC Garden

Spring is here  - and it is time for planting!  Trees NC is grateful for the dedicated leadership of two wonderful individuals who are taking the lead with our East Side community garden.

Kim Lemmons and Karen Clodfelter  - both certified Master Gardeners are leading the development of the Trees NC East Side garden  - with the help of some very special  friends.

Vocational Opportunities in the Community is an organization that provides daytime programs for adults with special needs.

Kim and Karen are leading a program that provides stimulating activity to our friends at VOC  - and together they are making a very helpful contribution to the East Side garden.  In the last two weeks, the VOC team has cleaned out last year's garden beds and spread a few hundred pounds of mulch on our garden campus.
