Trees NC Mourns Loss of Branson Langley, Arborist & Long Time Volunteer

On Thursday July 18th, dedicated and beloved arborist Branson Joe Langley died tragically while participating in a rescue training exercise at the NC Zoo. Branson was a loyal volunteer to Trees NC for many years - he helped plant hundreds of trees in public places, and distributed thousands of trees to families and children during our annual NC Arbor Day celebrations.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Branson, knowing that we share this enormous loss with his family, his daughter Maggie, and all of those who loved him. We will support “The Maggie Fund” that has been established by the North Carolina Zoological Society to further Maggie’s education. We urge you to do the same.
