Trees NC Partners with MWA and Branches Out in the Community
/On Saturday, Nov. 21, the two groups planted trees in Randleman and Liberty. Trees were planted in Randleman at the City's Police Department and Town Hall. In Liberty the team worked together to add trees to the property of newly built Habitat for Humanity homes.
Trees NC is very excited about the new partnerships made during these plantings. The newly formed relationship with Modern Woodman of America holds great potential to bring new trees to communities throughout the area.
"Modern Woodmen" honors the pioneer woodmen that cleared the forest to build homes and secure futures for their families. Today, MWA strives to offer financial services to help members clear away financial burdens. MWA believes that planting trees is an important way to create secure futures for families, communities and the environment. Through a tree planting program, and with help from its members, MWA aims to plant nearly 10,000 trees across the country each year.
Trees NC and MWA also teamed up with Gilmore Plant & Bulb Company in Julian, NC for the purchase of many high quality trees for the plantings.
These three groups with work together again on December 5th as they plant trees at Seagrove Elementary School.
