YES! Team Keeps It Clean

Since our beginning, Trees NC's vision has been to serve as a catalyst for positive change in our most at need communities.
Through our YES! East Side in Asheboro, NC we see this vision put to action.
YES! stands for Youth Environmental Service - with a bang!
The YES! team in Asheboro is comprised of 70 members of the Central Boys and Girls Club.
Under the guidance of Trees NC volunteers and our collaborating partners, the YES! East Side members participate in ongoing environmental service programs, including tree plantings, litter patrol, and community gardening.
Over the last year the team participated in 6 litter patrol activities in their East Side neighborhood - collecting a record 800 pounds of trash. In the process the team also learned about the importance of being involved in making the community a better place to live. Trees NC is proud to play a role in the development of YES! East Side. You kids rock!
